Chris Higgins, President
Chris is the founder of Palos Behavioral Health Professionals, a multi-site treatment group with over twenty-five providers. He has been practicing in clinical psychology for over twenty years and specializes in family and marital treatment. Currently, Chris is on the Board of Directors for Community Services Foundation, Southwest Community Services, Inc., and CTF Illinois, not-for-profit organizations providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He also serves on the Aquatics Committee at Midlothian Country Club and is a board member of Peace Memorial Foundation. He is the husband of Sara and father of three daughters, Caitlin, Breanne, and Abby.
Jason Helfert, Vice President
Jason is a Sales Executive at The Horton Group with a focus on enterprise risk management. In 2011, Jason spearheaded the Not-for-Profit Division and has been instrumental in providing his customers with up-to-date industry knowledge through his seminar series. Jason is also a board member of Southwest Community Services and on the advisory board of Community Service Partners. Jason earned his B.A. in Marketing and Business Administration from Carthage College. He lives in Orland Park, Illinois, with his wife Laura and two daughters.
Michael Salvador, Secretary
Michael is a Vice President and Division Manager in Commercial Banking at MB Financial Bank. He specializes in Commercial and Industrial Lending along with Commercial Real Estate and Treasury Management sales. Michael manages a portfolio of commercial clients which range from nonprofits to heavy manufacturing and transportation clients with revenues which range from $10-$250 million. Michael is also a board member of Southwest Community Services, and is a part of the marketing/fundraising sub-committee. Michael earned his B.B.A in Finance from the University of Iowa. He lives in Orland Park, Illinois, with his wife Adrianne, his son, and his Labrador Retriever appropriately named Kinnick.
John Hayes, Treasurer
John is an attorney and a certified public accountant and is a partner with the Chicago-based law firm of Pedersen & Houpt. He specializes in Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration, and Tax Planning. John received a B.S. in Accounting from Bradley University and his J.D. from DePaul College of Law. A life-long Chicago area resident, John and his wife, Terri, reside in the southwestern suburbs and have three children, including a daughter who is a special education teacher.
Art is the CEO and President of Trinity Services, Inc., a fully accredited nonprofit human services agency that provides residential, adult learning and support programs to individuals with disabilities. Trinity Services, Inc. serves over 2500 children and adults within 24 communities in northeast, central, and southwest Illinois, and Reno, Nevada. Art is considered one of Illinois’ most influential leaders in the Human Services Sector. He has served three terms as the President of Illinois Association of Rehabilitative Facilities, President of the Council on Quality and Leadership Supports for People with Disabilities, a member of the Illinois Human Services Commission and co-chair of the Illinois Disabilities Services Advisory Committee. He has written numerous articles and publications, is the author of Outcome Management and You Are Note Going to Believe This, and serves as the editor-in-chief of “Perdido,” a quarterly web-based leadership journal. Art earned his B.A. in Psychology at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and received his Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Bradley University. Art and his wife of nearly 50 years, Anita, live in New Lenox, Illinois.
