Adults with mental health disorders and intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) often desire independence, safety, and community. However, their family members or guardians are not always able to provide the level of support they need. When their needs aren’t met, these adults with I/DD feel anxious, insecure, and isolated.
CTF ILLINOIS is a place where adults with I/DD of any level can thrive. No matter their functioning level across the spectrum, we provide guidance and support to assist them in working towards an independent and productive lifestyle - whether that means holding their own toothbrush or finding the job of their dreams. Our staff truly respect and care about each person, making them feel secure and valued. Individuals have the option of enrolling in the day or residential program. These day-to-day services are supported by government funding.
However, CTF ILLINOIS has needs that cannot be covered by government funding: homes that accommodate physical limitations, social outings to build relationships, and trips to experience the beauty life has to offer.
CSF exists to fund the dreams of adults with I/DD at CTF ILLINOIS that aren’t covered by government funding. We believe that adults with I/DD deserve to live a fulfilling life. Our community of donors are the backbone that upholds hope and dignity for adults with I/DD, who are often overlooked in society.
